DECISION OF THE MEETING - Nineteenth Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean and its Protocols; Regional Climate Change Adaptation Framework for the Mediterranean Marine and Coastal Areas

Endorse the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Framework, as a contribution to the Mid-Term Strategy. The Regional Framework aims to achieve increased resilience of the Mediterranean countries and their communities to the adverse impacts of climate variability and change by 2025, setting out four Strategic Objectives (governance, best practices, finance, data and information) as well as Strategic Directions with Priorities for each of the Strategic Objectives; Request the Secretariat to include appropriate measures for climate change adaptation in the new comprehensive Resource Mobilisation Strategy.
