REPORT OF THE MEETING - Meeting of MAP National Focal Points, UNEP(DEC)/MED WG 228/20

Comment on the progress report on activities for the period 2002-2003 and consider specific matters regarding coordination (legal, institutional and financial framework, MCSD, information and cooperation), as well as some of the MAP main priorities, such as pollution prevention and control (activities related to land-based and sea-based pollution and cleaner production), conservation of biological diversity and Specially Protected Areas (adoption of SAP BIO, planning and management, implementation of the SPA & Biodiversity Protocol), sustainable management of coastal zones (CAMP and ICAM), integration of environment and development (The environment and development report, thematic activities, free trade, financing, tourism, statistics, indicators and data base), and other issues.
