DECISION OF THE MEETING - Nineteenth Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean and its Protocols; Regional Action Plan on Sustainable Consumption and Production in the Mediterranean

Adopt the Action Plan on Sustainable Consumption and Production in the Mediterranean, as a substantive contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SCP Action Plan sets out a shared vision, strategic objectives and operational objectives and actions by consumption and production priority area (food, fisheries and aquaculture, goods manufacturing, tourism, housing and construction) complemented by cross-cutting objectives and actions; Request UNEP/MAP in cooperation with relevant international and regional organisations, to prepare specific SCP guidelines; Requests the Coordinating Unit in coordination with SCP/RAC to undertake in 2020 an indicator-based midterm evaluation of the Action Plan implementation.
