This Fact Sheet summarizes the pilot field demonstrations Afghanistan’s National Environmental Protection Agency (NEP) and UNEP are conducting in Balk. The work is aimed at increasing the resilience of local communities to the impacts of climate change, as well as build the capacity of local environmental institutions to research, plan for, and reduce climate change risks.
