DECISION OF THE MEETING - Sixteenth Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean and its Protocols; Regional Plan on the elimination of Aldrin, Chlordane, Dieldrin, Endrin, Heptachlor, Mirex and Toxaphene in the framework of the implementation of Article 15 of the LBS Protocol

Adopt the Regional Plan on the elimination of Aldrin, Chlordane, Dieldrin, Endrin, Heptachlor, Mirex and Toxaphene and invited the Contracting Parties to take the necessary measures to its implementation. The Regional Plan sets out specific measures to be adopted and provides a list of chemicals subject to elimination, with specific exemptions as well as a list of BAT and BEP for Environmentally Sound Management of POP Pesticides.
