The Regional Workshop on the Implementation of Rio Principle 10 Regional Workshop on the
Implementation of Rio Principle 10 and the Guidelines for the Development of National Legislation on
Access to Information, Public Participation and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters was
convened in Amman, Jordan on 12-13 May 2014.
The Workshop was implemented through strong partnerships with national, regional and global
organizations: the World Resources Institute and its Access Initiative (as part of their ongoing work on
environmental democracy); the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and its Technology
Centre; and the Royal Scientific Society and its Network for Jordanian Industrial Sustainability. The local
partners in Jordan provided secretarial support for the registration and copying of handout materials for
the Workshop.
