This section examines the literature and teases out some lessons learned for validation by the policy domains/ instruments and governance arrangements and associated case studies in Chapters 12–17 of Part B (Figure 11 1). Essentially, it addresses the top portion of Figure 11.1, while Chapters 12–17 explore the lower half.
