The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the World Dental Federation (FDI) and the International Association of Dental Manufacturers (IDM) implemented a demonstration project for phasing
down the use of dental amalgam in three Anglophone countries of East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. This report gives account of the implementation of the project in Tanzania.
