dc.description | The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is in the process of developing its next Medium-Term Strategy for the period 2022-2025. The development of the Strategy comes at a critical time for global environmental action. As we face enormous environmental challenges and collectively battle a global pandemic that is a symptom of the ailing health of our planet, it is clear that we need to make a transition towards building back a healthier, greener and more resilient world. The planetary challenges of climate change, nature loss and pollution – the centerfold of such vision –
will require broad systemic shifts, particularly in our global consumption and production patterns, coupled with sound policy changes that will create the necessary structure and enabling conditions to support it. | en_US |
