Provisional Summary of the Inventory of Technical and Financial Resources and Mechanisms for Supporting Countries in Addressing Marine Plastic Litter and Microplastics: Note by the Secretariat - UNEP/AHEG/2020/4/3

Both technical and financial resources and mechanisms are fundamental requirements andserve as enabling conditions to combat marine litter. This document aims to provide a summary oftechnical and financial resources and mechanisms available to support countries in addressing marineplastic litter and microplastics, taking into account feedback received by the AHEG-3 to build onprevious work under 3/7, and as outlined in the report and its outcome document. The document is notexhaustive and should rather be seen as a compilation of existing information. The topics ofwastewater treatment as well as the impact of marine litter are not within the scope of the reviewed resources.
