The objective of this study is to review national and regional legal and policy frameworks to identify key recommended actions towards an enabling policy environment for MCSP and ecosystem-based approaches, and to explore linkages with Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE), including exploring challenges and opportunities in applying MCSP for evolving and implementing SBE policy and strategies. The review may be used by COBSEA participating countries to inform further development and implementation of actions enabling MCSP and SBE.
The scope of this study includes MCSP work in COBSEA participating countries in the East Asian Seas region - Cambodia, People’s Republic of China, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
