dc.description | The intersessional meeting of the Executive Board of the Special Programme to support institutional strengthening at the national level for the implementation of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm (BRS) Conventions, the Minamata Convention and the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) was opened by the co-chair, Ms Kay William (United Kingdom), at 13:00 (CEST) on 5 December 2022. Ms Williams welcomed the participants and invited members and alternates participating in the Executive Board meeting for the first time to introduce themselves. She then noted that the meeting was an intersessional meeting and was closed to observers, but that a summary of the meeting would be circulated later for the purposes of transparency. The meeting was attended by members and/or alternates from all Executive Board constituencies and represented quorum for opening of the meeting, in accordance with Rule 17 of the Rules of Procedure for the Executive Board of the Special Programme. | en_US |
