dc.descriptionProposed Objective: As set out in the UNEA resolution 5/14, the objective of the treaty should be to end plastic pollution, including pollution from legacy plastics, in all environments in order to protect the environment and human health, and to create a non-toxic circular economy for plastics, based on a comprehensive approach that addresses the full life cycle of plastics, taking into account, the principles of the Rio Declaration on the Environment and Development (Rio Declaration), as well as national circumstances and capabilities.en_US
