The objective of this call is to garner proposals to support the implementation of the second phase of EmPower: Women for Climate Resilient Societies Programme. The Programme is seeking proposals that can support the increase in action on gender responsive climate change adaptation and mitigation. The selected organization is expected to provide tailored capacity-building support to promote gender-responsive climate action that contributes to the implementation of gender commitments under the Paris Agreement; provide technical inputs to monitoring and evaluation frameworks, roadmaps, actions plans and guidelines to implement climate change, and renewable energy policies. The work will contribute to increasing the number of regional/national/subnational: climate change and renewable energy actors who demonstrate increased knowledge and skills on gender and human rights; climate change and renewable energy institutions that contribute to/provide feedback to renewable energy and climate change policies/plans/frameworks; CSO actors who contribute to or provide feedback on climate change and renewable energy policies, plans and/or frameworks; and number of gender-responsive monitoring frameworks developed/ supported to assess the effectiveness of gender integration in climate action and renewable energy policies and plans.
