This report is a Terminal Evaluation of the UNEP/GEF project “Demonstration of Effectiveness of Diversified, Environmentally Sound, and Sustainable Interventions and Strengthening National Capacity for Innovative Implementation of Integrated Vector Management (IVM) for Disease Prevention and Control in the WHO AFRO Region,” implemented between 2016 and 2022. The project's overall development goal was to strengthen national capacities to implement evidence-based, innovative, diversified, and environmentally sound disease vector control interventions, with an emphasis on reducing reliance on DDT for malaria control. The evaluation assessed the project's performance in terms of relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency and evaluated its outcomes and impacts, including their sustainability. The evaluation aimed to provide evidence of results for accountability and to foster learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing among UNEP, WHO, and the relevant agencies in participating countries.
