Description

Ecorea is a compound of the prefix “Eco”, which suggests an ecologically sound and comfortable environment, and the name of the nation, “Korea”. This special edition of ECOREA 2009 introduces the country’s main goals and ten policy priorities for a new national vision of Green Korea, which pursues the harmony of the environment, economy and society. ECOREA 2009 does also present some environmental policies in the following areas: the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project, Comprehensive Measures for Asbestos Management, Implementation of Mandatory Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) for the Han River Water System and Waste Material Import and Export Declaration System.
