Comment on the progress report on activities for the period 1998-1999 and consider specific matters regarding coordination (legal, institutional and financial framework, information and cooperation), as well as some of the MAP main priorities, such as pollution prevention and control (activities related to land-based and sea-based pollution and cleaner production), conservation of biological diversity and Specially Protected Areas (data collection and assessment, planning and management, information), sustainable management of coastal zones (CAMP), integration of environment and development (observation, assessment and evaluation, tourism, urban and rural development), and other issues.
