Decide to adopt the Guidelines on the Decision Making Process for Granting Access to a Place of Refuge for Ships in Need of Assistance which is decided to complement and supplement the “Aspects to be considered when receiving a request for entry in a safe haven” contained in section VI of the “Principles and Guidelines Concerning Cooperation and Mutual Assistance”, adopted by the COP7; Request the Mediterranean coastal States, when requested to grant access to a place of refuge, to take in due consideration those Guidelines.
