Adopt the regional programme of work for the Coastal and Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean Sea elaborated by SPA/RAC and its partners and invite the Contracting Parties to implement it with the support of SPA/RAC; Request the Secretariat and SPA/RAC to strengthen links with existing regional fisheries organizations (CGPM, ICCAT) and other relevant organizations to ensure sustainable management of resources, including on the high seas; The Programme proposes specific activities under four elements (assessment of representativity and effectiveness of the existing network, improvement of the network's representativity and effectiveness, improvement of management, strengthen of governance systems).
