We express our concern with the reference of multi-stakeholder partnerships that put the centrality of the role of private sectors and IFIs particularly on financing actions to achieve the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. We invite the member states to consider to add that such financial system should also include the needs to be predicated on independent, exante, and periodic impact assessment of the gender equality, FPIC and human rights, environmental and economic risks. Also to clearly mention the establishment of a binding accountability mechanism for human rights violations committed by private and corporate actors, building on—but moving beyond, the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.en_US
