dc.description | Thank you, Madame Chair. I deliver this brief statement on behalf of all Major Groups and Regional Representatives. We had prepared a longer statement with specific text improvement regarding rule 69, on the basis of the proposal presented by the G77 and China. However, it seems that the discussion is not yet that far. Accordingly, we only wish to recall that GC decision 27/2 calls for strengthening the current framework for stakeholder engagement, in order to improve the new UNEP and enhance its role as the leading environmental authority. In this regard, the RoP should reflect best practices at UNEP and the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. At the same time, the RoP should also enable continuous improvement and guarantee against non-regression. | en_US |
