Terminal Evaluation of UNEP/GEF project: Integration of Climatic Variability and Change into National Strategies to Implement the ICZM Protocol in the Mediterranean” (ClimVar & ICZM)
The 'Integration of Climatic Variability and Change into National Strategies to implement the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Protocol in the Mediterranean' project (ClimVar/ICZM) is a complementary initiative to the overall GEF/UNEP/World Bank Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (the MedPartnership). The purpose of the project was to support the implementation of the ICZM Protocol through the development of the region wide capacity, enabling environment, and tools needed to address climate variability and change in the Mediterranean Region. The project was implemented 2012-2015 and has elevel participating coutnries: Algeria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Montenegro, Tunisia, Syria and Palestine. This terminal evaluation focuses on a set of key questions based on the project’s intended (revised) outcomes, and assesses the achievement of the project objectives. The terminal evaluation has two primary purposes: 1) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, 2) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, the GEF and their executing partners.
