dc.description | The evaluation sought to: assess performance of the Communications and Public Information Subprogramme elements in relation to the objectives, strategy and expected accomplishments and outputs in the programme of work; identify strategies and approaches that have significant impact on the sub programme's effectiveness and productivity; assess the relevance, focus and impact of DCPI activities directed at specific target groups, particularly youth and sports; assess the role and contribution of communications and public information to UNEP strategic management; incorporation of ICT in communications and media strategies and activities; determine the effectiveness and efficiency with which UNEP publications have contributed to greater awareness of environmental issues and UNEP as the global environmental authority; and identify constraints and problems affecting the Subprogramme and propose practical recommendations for improvement. | |
