The objective of the second consultation workshop of the biodiversity-related conventions on the GBF (Bern II) is for Parties, Secretariats and other stakeholders to reflect on the best way to involve biodiversity-related conventions and other relevant MEAs in contributing to the development of the GBF and its effective implementation through coherent, coordinated, complementary and synergetic approaches, working as appropriate with international organizations and programmes. Inclusion of the contributions of all relevant MEAs in the body of the GBF will enhance a feeling of shared ownership. Beyond the GBF, cooperation with biodiversity-related conventions and other relevant MEAs should also be reflected in other relevant decisions of the CBD Conference of the Parties (hereafter “CBD COP15”), relating both to the substance and to the implementation, monitoring and review of the GBF.en_US
