Stockholm+50 Logistical arrangements

The international meeting entitled “Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity” will be held pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 75/280 and 75/326 on 2 and 3 June 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden. List of speakers Requests for inscription from States participating in the international meeting and the European Union should be sent through the eSpeakers module accessible through the e-deleGATE portal (under Conference>Stockholm+50) before 5 p.m. on 16 May 2022. The live rolling list of speakers will be circulated via e- deleGATE and announced in the Stockholm+50 edition of the Journal of the United Nations. Pre-recorded video statements At its 71st meeting on Tuesday, 10 May 2022, the General Assembly adopted decision 76/562, by which it decided “that States and the European Union speaking at the plenary meetings may each submit a pre-recorded statement of their Head of State or Government, which will be played during the general debate of the international meeting, following its introduction by the presiding officer. As outlined in the letter from the Co-hosts of the international meeting (Sweden and Kenya) transmitted by the President of the General Assembly through his letter dated 29 April 2022, the Co-hosts intend to accommodate both in- person as well as pre- recorded video statements from all participating States and other stakeholders as mandated by GA resolution 75/326 and inscribed on the list of speakers for the general debate. It was further proposed that the pre-recorded video statements received from the speakers other than Heads of State or Government be published on the Stockholm+50 website, and that a decision to include their content into the summary of the discussions of the international meeting be taken at the first meeting of Stockholm+50, at the proposal of the Co- Presidents of the international meeting.
