This report focuses on evaluating interlinkages and trends between major global drivers and marine and freshwater indicators within the SDG indicator framework. Although the progress made in relation to the 92 environment-related SDG indicators is presented, the overall progress towards attaining the SDG targets is not, as those findings are reported elsewhere (for instance (UN 2022b)). This work represents a major step forward in using analytical methods to explore well-known and lesser-known interlinkages between water indicators and other environmental, social and economic factors.en_US
