Evaluation Office of UNEP (2024-02)

This report is a Terminal Evaluation of an EU grant implemented between 2018 and 2022. The grant’s overall objective was to support governments, private sector and other stakeholders in the implementation of policies and practices that lead to improvement in product´s design and product sustainability information and increase consumer awareness to support sustainable lifestyles in Latin America and the Caribbean. The evaluation sought to assess performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the EU grant, including the sustainability. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, and the relevant agencies of the participating countries.
