Mercury pollution has become a global environmental issue in recent years; however, awareness in families and communities is still weak. The most basic, important and difficult part of mercury pollution control is to let people know the mercury-containing products in daily life and corresponding treatments. It is also the purpose of our project, which is funded by UNEP, to develop a toolkit in order to raise awareness about managing mercury wastes at household and community level .
