The Sub-Regional workshop targeting countries from the West African region (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, DRC, Mali and Togo), was organised to strengthen the technical capacity and collaborative work of National Focal Points and United Nations Country Teams (UNCT) in implementing Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs), financing the Global biodiversity Framework (GBF), and attaining the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop was organised under the ACP-MEAs Programme Phase III in UNEP’s Environmental Policy Unit with the support of the Africa Office regional Coordination Unit and Liaison Office in Addis Ababa –spearheaded a new workshop format and model rolled out through two Sub-Regional training workshops for West and East African countries.
