UNEP's project Assessment of Biological Diversity and Microclimate of the Tropical Forest Canopy is a new venture to examine forest canopies by means of a tower crane. Accessing the Canopy is the first major report of the project's findings and it goes a long way towards showing us that the protection of the world's biodiversity can only really be accomplished if we continue to explore, assess and preserve it.
