dc.descriptionAmong the components of the CEPPOL Programme, Activity 4.4.3 "Monitoring and Control of the Sanitary Quality of Bathing and Shellfish Growing Waters", represents an important effort for the development of a monitoring and research programme that will ensure the sanitary quality of these waters and the development and enforcement of adequate quality criteria and control measures. To this end, and as a preliminary activity within the programme, this seminar was convened in Kingston, Jamaica, 9-13 August 1993, at the Regional Co-ordinating Unit of the Caribbean Environment Programme.en_US
