dc.descriptionThis document sets out guidance on controlling emission of mercury and mercury compounds to air from point sources, as adopted by the Conference of the Parties at its first meeting in September 2017.Paragraph 8 of article 8 of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, on emissions, provides that the Conference of the Parties shall, at its first meeting, adopt guidance on best available techniques and on best environmental practices, taking into account any differences between new and existing sources and the need to minimize cross-media effects; and on support for parties in implementing the measures set out in paragraph 5, in particular in determining goals and in setting emission limit values.en_US
