The present information brief explores the more recent country experiences and lessons learned in developing summaries of information, based on the review of an increased range of summaries and the experience of the Programme in supporting safeguards activities in a number of countries. To date, some countries have already reported on how they respected the REDD+ safeguards; however, a significant amount of the information included in the first summaries of information has focused on the progress made in developing country approaches to safeguards, and on the provision of information on how countries have addressed or plan to address and respect the REDD+ safeguards throughout REDD+ implementation.en_US
