This concept note outlines a small project related to the reduction of marine litter associated with a major Caribbean cultural event – Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago. When the population comes together to enjoy the Carnival season, a tremendous amount of waste is generated, even though 70% is recyclable. These recyclables are mainly plastic and glass bottles from food and beverage consumption.en_US
