In December 2010, the Basil Fuleihan Institute for Economy and Finance (IOF) commissioned Sofres-Liban to conduct a market assessment study on the status of Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) in Lebanon. The first part of the study consisted of a prioritization of products to be targeted for SPP using a simplified methodology. This was achieved through extensive desk research and interviews with experts in the field of sustainable development. The second part of the Sofres study consisted of a survey of the businesses that could supply or import the chosen products and a review of national SPP efforts.en_US
