The involvement of UN Environment in the Sustainable public procurement (SPP) area dates back from 2005 when our organization joined, from its inception, the Swiss-led Marrakech Task Force on SPP; one of the 7 task forces established in the framework of the Marrakech Process on sustainable consumption and production (2003-2012). The Marrakech process, initiated in Marrakech in 2013, prepared and gave way to the 10-year Framework Programme on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP), adopted at the Rio+20 2012 summit.en_US
