This report from UNEP-WCMC reviews a relevant sample of VNRs in order to assess the level of biodiversity inclusion in the various national SDG implementation processes. The report takes into consideration all 17 Goals and related targets as reported in the VNRs, with a focus on SDG 14 – Life below water and SDG 15 – Life on Land. Its aim is to provide a contribution to the global discussion leading towards the post-2020 global biodiversity framework which offers insights into how member states are integrating biodiversity into national sustainable development planning and enhancing policy coherence across related international environmental processes.en_US
