dc.descriptionThe project was agreed on 20 February 2019 at the meeting between the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Global announcement of the project was made on the UNEP’s website in July 2019 and the Inception workshop was held in Minamata, Japan, on 2-4 September 2019 to inform the project launch to wider audiences. Project outcome: Countries increasingly generate and apply information on how to monitor and reduce mercury emissions and releases in their legislations, policies or action plans. Participating countries: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Palau, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. Reporting Period: July 2019 - June 2020en_US
