dc.descriptionAs part of the overall goal to support the sustainable management and restoration of the Iraqi Marshlands, this training kit is designed to support raising the basic capacity of Iraqi professionals in technical aspects of drinking water provision, which responds to the need of the reduction and control of freshwater degradation in critical areas in the Iraqi Marshlands through the application of Environmentally Sound Technologies (ESTs) particularly the ones for drinking water. The objectives are as follows: 1) to increase the importance and benefits of applying ESTs for drinking water provision for public health protection
dc.description2) to enhance the knowledge and information on water treatment technologies, drinking water quality control and prevention of water-borne diseases
dc.description3) to encourage the adoption, application, and operation of sustainable drinking water treatment technologies
dc.description4) to establish sustainable operation and maintenance framework for the water treatment facilities and distribution methods. The kit consists of a Trainer's Handbook and Participant's Handbook. The Trainer's Handbook includes methodologies for the development of lectures to cover the above objectives and the Participant's Handbook includes the materials to be used for the lectures.
