dc.description | Viet Nam is considered one of the most vulnerable countries to the adverse effects of climate change, facing potential extensive economic damage and loss of life. The country therefore has much to gain by joining the international challenge to mitigate GHG emissions, even though Vietnamese emissions per capita remain very low. Importantly, the National Strategy on Climate Change (approved in December 2011) aims for the “protection and sustainable development of forest, increasing carbon removals and biodiversity conservation” as one of its key strategies. | |
