DECISION OF THE MEETING - Fifteenth Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean and its Protocols; Implementation of NAPs and the preparation of legally binding measures and timetables required by Article 15 of the LBS Protocol

Decide to continue the implementation of the NAPs and foresee their revision in 2011; Request MED POL to identify priority substances and sectors, a differentiation mechanism for the implementation of regional ELVs, based on BAT, to start the process of developing regional and/or sub-regional EQOs for the marine environment, to identify relevant elements and indicators arising from the implementation of the ecosystem approach, and to establish a working group to develop by 2011 action plans and programmes containing the legally binding measures and timetables required by article 15 of the LBS Protocol.
