In the daily life-and-death competition for road space the most vulnerable road users are pedestrians and cyclists. UNEP, together with the FIA Foundation and other partners, is working to improve road financing and design for safer roads that promote sustainable travel. This means supporting Non-Motorized Transport (NMT ) including cycling and walking.
