The Soils Policy suggested in this document is meant to be illustrative rather than exhaustive in character, and by no means a substitute for local experience, foresight or prndence. If properly iulemented, the suggested Soils Policy will have a variety of iIrpacts. For instance, it will not only enhance the quality and productivity of soils, but it will also aid the entire development, pronoting the ecoromic well-being of the people of the Syrian Arab Republic. These benefits will be obtained through incorporating the policy in all development plans that touch on or involve soils as the basis of lard resources.
