The 1993 edition of the UN List includes sites in IUCN Management Categories! through V. It is intended that Category VI sites will be included in the next edition. Protected areas which are also designated Ramsar Sites, World Heritage Sites or Biosphere Reserves, are included both in the national lists and in the lists of areas of international significance.
