The objectives of this study were: - to describe predation by wild carnivores on livestock
of the nomadic tribes in the Mt Kulal area, northern Kenya; - to describe the pastoralists' methods of protection against predation and the environmental cost of these methods; and - to advise on possible alternative methods of protection.
