dc.description | The objective of this strategy is to ensure that funding is available for the implementation of the Medium-Term Strategy (MTS) 2022-2025 and related Programmes of Work and for the associated costs of the work of the governing bodies with a ramp-up period in 2021. It should also ensure that funding is available to cover support activities such as management, administration and oversight. The new MTS sets out UNEP’s core areas of work through three principal areas of action (Climate Action, Nature Action, and Chemicals & Pollution Action), underpinned by two foundational subprogrammes (Science-Policy and Environmental Governance) and facilitated by two enabling subprogrammes (Finance and Economic Transformations, and Digital Transformations). These thematic, foundational and enabling subprogrammes come together interdependently and vis-à-vis the global goals encompassed in the 2030 Agenda. | en_US |
