This project aims to evaluate the feasibility and challenges for introducing ambient mercury monitoring by gold trap method, which will be included in the monitoring guidance of Minamata Convention, to existing monitoring sites. The pilot monitoring is conducted at the Niigata-Maki Acid Deposition Monitoring station, Japan from 2021 to 2023.
