A healthy environment is a precondition for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. To be able to meet environmental objectives, Governments need accurate and reliable environmental data. In Bangladesh, UNEP worked closely with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as its main in-country partner to strengthen the focus on the environment in national development plans and sustainability monitoring frameworks. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation among the agencies implementing multilateral environmental agreements.en_US
