Algeria considers the SCP-NAP to be one of the implementation tools for its National Strategy for Environment and Sustainable Development, through which it hopes to achieve its goals under Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. As well as developing its SCP National Action Plan, Algeria has focused considerable effort on putting in place the necessary strategic and regulatory frameworks to switch to more sustainable consumption and production. A significant part of this reflects the country’s wish to become a “zero waste” economy.en_US
