dc.description | The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) field-tested six commercially available dental amalgam separators over a six to eight month period in 2003 – 2004 in Vermont dental practices. The objective of the study was to gather first-hand
information and experience with the installation and operational issues regarding amalgam separators over the course of the pilot. This information would then be shared with the Vermont dental community to familiarize them with the technologies to remove amalgam and its associated mercury and other heavy metals from the wastewater discharges. | en_US |
